STEWARDSHIP AND DONATIONS

Stewardship is the grateful sharing of those blessings God has given us, our money - our time - our interests and abilities. Typically, we invite our members to make annual stewardship commitments.

• Financial - choose a percent of income that will be offered to Christ’s service. The percentage may be changed as needed.

• Time/Talent – serve Christ through our congregation and the larger church in areas of your expertise and/or interest.

Stewardship is not viewed as something we must do. No one is required to give.

We practice stewardship as an expression of our gratitude for the love and grace of God and our trust in God’s provision for our lives.

RALPHS COMMUNITY REWARDS CARD PROGRAM:

As our members and friends use their Rewards Card while shopping at Ralphs, a percentage of their payment is contributed to Shadow Hills Church. Annual registration is required in order for the contribution to be made. Call the church office (818-353-2500) for details on how to register.

RECYCLING

Bring your used printer cartridges and plastic bottles in for recycling. Funds received from recycling are donated back to the church.

CHURCH YARD SALE AND TREASURE SALE

The Yard Sale in the Spring and the Treasure Sale in the Fall offer our members and friends an opportunity to clean out their closets and garages for a worthy cause.

SCRIP PROGRAM

Scrip are gift cards and gift certificates used to purchase the items you ordinarily buy. It’s a DOLLAR for DOLLAR exchange – $10 gift card for $10. There is no additional cost to you! Our church receives between 3% and 43% profit. You can order as little as $5 or even over $5,000. Use gift cards for groceries, clothing, home goods, movies, meals and more. There are over 200 participating local and national stores and restaurants. Order forms are in the sanctuary foyer, the church office, or website download. Submit your completed order form to Rose Kukla, our Scrip Coordinator.

You may also pay on line with “PrestoPay” or you can write a check to Shadow Hills Presbyterian Church (SHPC).

The Scrip Coordinator (Rose) will pick up your order, process it and bring your Scrip Cards to church.

If you are not in church, cards are secured in the office for you to pick up during office hours.
