As Jesus was baptized once in the Jordan River, we are baptized once.  We believe in the efficacy of all baptisms completed in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.  Therefore, we accept the baptisms performed by other Christian churches.  In special circumstances when a person may wish to be re-baptized, we offer the reaffirmation of baptism vows.

ADULT BAPTISM is often performed as an adult becomes an active member of the congregation.  However, baptism is not performed for those who have previously been baptized.    In baptism we turn away from all that separates us from God and turn toward Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.  In baptism we are washed in the waters of redemption and enter into a new life in Christ.  Our members make a commitment to God and to the person being baptized that they will support the baptized in their continuing journey of faith.

INFANT BAPTISM is a very powerful sign of how reliant all of us are on God's love and grace.  The child is embraced by God's love even before the child develops faith or can possibly earn God's promised grace.  Our members join the parents in pledging their support and encouragement for the ongoing spiritual development of the child.  The child is embraced as a blessing and a responsibility of our church family.  This commitment to the child and parents is the basis for our Presbyterian requirement that at least one parent shall be an active member of the congregation.
