The pressure triggered something
totally unexpected: an outpouring of pure and generous
gifts. They gave offerings of whatever they
could— far more than they could afford!— pleading for the privilege of helping
out in the relief of poor Christians. What explains it was that they had first given themselves
unreservedly to God. The other giving simply flowed out of the purposes of God working in
their lives. 2 Corinthians 8:4-7

MISSION DONATIONS  SOUPER BOWL OF CARING Each Super Bowl Sunday, our youth collect cans of food
and money to support our local food banks and Presbyterian Hunger Programs.  ALTERNATIVE GIFT MARKET November, we “purchase” alternative gifts for our loved ones by making donations to various national and global mission projects. A gift card acknowledges the gift to the recipient.
This special offering is received on Palm Sunday and
supports ministries of disaster response, refugee assistance and
resettlement, and community development that help people find safe refuge,
start new lives, and work together to strengthen their families and
communities.  CROP WALK Valley Interfaith Council organizes this walk each
November to raise money for local food banks and hunger programs throughout
the nation. 
On the first Sunday of October, we celebrate World
Communion and receive the Peacemaking Offering in support of peacemaking in
our homes, communities, nation, and world. 
CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING The Joy Offering is received on the Sunday before
Christmas and supports assistance programs for retired and active church
workers and their spouses and families. It also supports
Presbyterian-related racial ethnic education. |
